About Kristina
Lt. Kristina Hall (Gilbert) and her husband, Lt. Evan Hall, have received devastating news—Kristina has been diagnosed with stage 4 pancreatic cancer, which has already spread and taken over more than 50% of her liver.
Kristina is the daughter of retired Lt. Billy Gilbert (NBBX) and retired PO Karen Gilbert (PBBX). Unlike many who experience warning signs or symptoms, Kristina’s cancer was discovered unexpectedly during a routine medical appointment unrelated to the disease. In the cruelest fashion, the very lack of symptoms led to a late-stage diagnosis, leaving her with limited treatment options.
Cancer is known as the disease that demands immense bravery, but Kristina has already exemplified courage for over 20 years as a Lieutenant with the New York City Police Department. She has served in the Patrol Services Bureau, the Transit Bureau, and the Information Technology Bureau—dedicating her life to protecting and serving others.
